our beliefs
We believe in one Holy, loving and all powerful and gracious creator GOD who exists in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of GOD, the ultimate authority for all matters of faith and practice.
We believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for human sin, that he was raised bodily on the third day and that he ascended to Heaven and now sits at the right hand of GOD the Father.
We believe that Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead and to reign as God over all things.
We believe our salvation does not come by works, but only by GOD’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that Christians should gather in regular fellowship and live lives of faith that make evident the good news that all can enter into the Kingdom of GOD by believing in Jesus Christ
We believe in water baptism
We also believe that GOD sent his Holy Spirit to teach and guide us while we are here on the earth.
OUR cORE PRINCIPLES
EVANGELISM
In Mat. 28:19-20 and elsewhere the bible encourages us as Christian believers to spread the good news about Jesus as our Savior & Lord to everyone everywhere.
DIVERSITY
In Acts 1:8 and elsewhere the bible encourages us as Christian believers to include in our local church faith communities people who look and act like us, people who look and act somewhat like us, and people who look and act totally unlike us. If we remember that most of the Christian believers at the time of Jesus Christ were Jewish Christians; then we understand that when Jesus told those believers to begin their witnessing in Jerusalem and Judea, he was telling them to begin their witnessing with other people like themselves. That was because Jerusalem and Judea was Jewish territory. And when they were to go to Samaria, they were to go witness to others who were somewhat like them, because the Samaritans were half-Jewish and half-Gentile by birth. And when they were to go to the rest of the world, they were to go witness to other people who were totally unlike them. That was because the rest of the world to them was Gentile territory. And Gentiles were people who were not Jews, and therefore totally unlike them.
POVERTY REDUCTION
In Deut. 15:1-11 and elsewhere God encouraged his people to reduce poverty wherever they found themselves. Therefore, we can understand that the bible was thereby encouraging believers to work toward eliminating poverty. And their failure to succeed in doing so; would most likely happen, if they failed to follow God’s encouragement and instructions to do so. And that means that God is encouraging us as Christians to do the same thing today, wherever we find ourselves. Also our success in doing so, will be a strong display of Christ’s ability to meet the needs of others, if we give Christ the credit for doing this.
MIRACLES
In John 14:12-14 and elsewhere Jesus encourages us as believers to do miraculous things like he did, through faith in him. Thereby Jesus is encouraging us Christians today to be dependent on God’s miracles to complete his work through us. And if we do this; we will realize that the display of God’s miracles among us, will be some of the strongest evidence to others that God is working with and through us.
GRACE
In Isaiah 61:1-2 and elsewhere God’s word compares God’s vengeance or justice to God’s favor or grace. And in that comparison, God’s word says justice is like a day that is compared to a year, when justice is compared to grace. Therefore this lets us know as Christian believers that we should seek and demonstrate grace over justice, in our actions toward others, like God does in his actions toward us.
F.A.T. Way
FAT is an acronym and metaphor that symbolizes the fullness of God’s miraculous blessings. Like “ Land of Milk and Honey” (Exodus 3: 17) did for Ancient Israel.
F – Follow God’s Miraculous Pathway
A – Accept and Expect God’s Next Miracle
T – Tell Others about Jesus and the great miracles that he is doing
So the question is: What great Miracles is Jesus Christ doing in your life and the life of your family that you are telling others about right now, to use as a means to invite them to church to hear more about Jesus.
OUR CREED
We love Jesus more than all
We love Jesus more than class, race or gender
We Love Jesus more than all that would separate us from the love of GOD
Therefore, because Jesus loves and reaches out to all, including us
We will let him love and bring in all through us
